Skunks are not great climbers. They can easily be trapped in places with 12"-high borders.The night before, a little skunk had, evidently, wandered from the neighboring gulch and down into an enclosed tennis court, where it must not have been able to navigate out the open staircase.
Come daylight, the skunk sought refuge, curling up on some leaves and tennis ball felt in the shade of the bottom stair.
Duane and Rebecca responded to the call. They blocked the animal's escape using large bedsheets, and gently encouraged the little animal into a 5-gallon bucket.
